About Us

Two by Two Animal Hospital (formerly Hecht Veterinary Hospital) was originally founded by Dr. Phil Hecht as a full service small animal and ambulatory equine hospital in 1967. Dr. Hecht sold the hospital to Dr. Shaffer in December 2009. Now re-named after the Biblical story of the animals coming to the ark, we are still serving equine, companion animals, and small ruminants. We are a unique facility because we can do ultrasound, endoscopy, surgery, and process blood work in-house. We are now able to hospitalize the larger animals in our new addition. Our doctors are “on call” for emergency all year long including holidays. We enjoy working with the local animal rescue groups and we strongly encourage adopting from them!
